By now most of you may know that the 2020 summer assembly (on the grounds) at Chautauqua Institution has been cancelled due to the Cornonavirus pandemic.  Obviously this means that our 3 Chautauqua UCC buildings will be closed this summer.

IF YOU MADE A RESERVATION AND PAID EITHER PARTIAL OR FULL PAYMENT FOR YOUR ROOM:

The Chautauqua UCC Society will fully refund whatever funds you paid for the 2020 season (excluding the annual membership fee) but we sincerely hope that you will consider donating part or all  your payment to the society.  Your donation qualifies as a tax deduction should you itemize on your Federal income tax.  Contact Grace Lipman.  Grace hopes to hear from you by June 1 for instructions as to what you would like to do.

Our Society has approximately $50,000 in annual FIXED expenses like property insurance on our buildings, building maintenance, utilities, taxes, inspections, trash removal, etc.  Without your donations this year we will effectively use up all of the funds we have held in reserve.  Your room payments typically make up 80% of our total income.

IF YOU DID NOT RESERVE A ROOM FOR THE 2020 SEASON:

The Chautauqua UCC Society would greatly appreciate your donation as well.  Our financial health depends on having adequate funds to operate our 3 beautiful buildings and to be able to offer folks like you a place to stay every summer at Chautauqua.  Please help if you can.

You can make a donation by going to our website at CUCCS.org.  Click on the DONATE button on the top right of the page.  You may donate by credit card there or you may send a check to our registrar, Grace Lipman, at 115 Duke Dr.  Lake Worth, FL 33460.  If you have questions please contact Grace.

It is our fervent hope and prayer that it will be safe in 2021 to return to our beloved Chautauqua Institution and our newly remodeled Mayflower bathrooms.  We know you will be impressed with the work that has been done and the new facilities will make the homecoming even sweeter.

Stay well until we meet again soon.

Sincerely,

John Botti
